CHINESE leaders Hu Jintao and Xi Jinping both sent messages of condolence to Acting President Nicolas Maduro on the death of Hugo Chavez, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying said.
"President Chavez was an outstanding leader of Venezuela and a good friend of the Chinese people," Hua said. He made significant contributions to advancing friendly relations, she added.
