PETALING JAYA, Jan 29 – Selangor Police and Selangor Malaysia Crime Prevention Foundation (MCPF) today launched their first online free magazine called ‘Digital-Beyond Bulletin’ to adopt a new approach at combating crime.

The main objective of the magazine is to educate the public about crime-prevention initiatives and to garner public participation in cooperating with the police.

Selangor police chief Datuk Tun Hisan Tun Hamzah said the magazine comprised articles written by him, lawyers, ex-senior police officers, criminologists and newspaper editors.

“Hence, in this bulletin, you do not only read about what happens in Selangor Police, but the efforts that we engaged in fighting crime and beyond that,” he said at the magazine’s launching ceremony at Sunway University College, here, today.

Tun Hisan said the approach was meant to reach all Malaysians via digital devices such as smart phones and tablets and the magazine’s application, named “PDRM Selangor”, could be downloaded through Play Store in Android devices and I-store for Apple devices.
