TEMPO Interactive, Pyongyang: The United Nations said that millions of North Korean children were starving from severe food shortages, and shortages linked to medical supplies, as well as absence of health insurance.
Almost one third of North Korean children under five years of age show symptoms of abnormal growth, especially in rural areas where food was scarce. Diarrhea hit North Korean people in the wake of clean water shortages, water sanitation and electric power scarcity.
