The Singapore Zoo is celebrating the birth of a white rhino on April 10. Weighing 70kg at birth, the calf has been named Jumaane. Its mother, Shova, is always close by. White rhinos are hunted for their horns and are considered near-threatened in the wild. There are now eight in the zoo. Some of the 13 born here have been sent overseas as part of the zoo's conservation efforts.
