TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta: An albino Bengal tiger belonging to Surabaya Zoo, in East Java, died on Saturday morning.

“We found disorders in the kidney and liver. There was also acute pneumonia,” said Surabaya Zoo spokesman Anthan Warsita on Sunday, September 9. The female white tiger named Santi had also suffered from paralysis for three years. After she became paralyzed, her weight and health continued to deteriorate.

Santi, according to Anthan, had been treated in a special isolation room but her health continued to decline and doctors could no longer save her.
